Le Croissant d'Or, on the quiet Nokeo Koumane Street, is one of the best bakeries in Vientieane. This French-themed bakery was first opened in 1996 and quickly created a name for itself for exceptional quality. It's hours are from 07:00 to 20:00 daily. Delivery services are also available.

I had scrambled eggs, french bread, a croissant, coffee, and orange juice at the French Bakery. Sigh! It was so good and the bread tasted just right. We repeated this breakfast the next day. We also found a place that made very good pizza just north of Nam Phou Place and ate sandwiches at Le Croissant d'Or.

Nous echouons par hasard a cote du Croissant d'Or, une boulangerie bien francaise: ca tombe bien, aujourd'hui est le 16 Fevrier, et nous fetons dignement notre cinquieme mois de voyage.
